We are excited for the future and our continued growth. Our Marketing team is seeking a talented individual for the role of Digital Developer / Designer.
This position can reside in any of our office locations: Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, OH; Detroit, St. Clair Shores, MI; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; or Hunt Valley, MD.

We are seeking a digital developer with a strong functional design aesthetic to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be experienced at planning, designing, developing, and managing a corporate B2B website and marketing automation platform. The person hired for this role will be expected to contribute to all digital marketing operations including email campaigns, engagement studio programs, forms, and landing pages in both Pardot and Kentico.

 

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, and working closely with marketing colleagues focused on editorial content, graphic design, and event marketing, this position will contribute to marketing strategy and best practices, implement related processes and functionality, execute campaigns, and provide reports and analysis that enhance collaboration and decision-making.

 

The exact mix of design/development will depend on the individual candidate’s skills; but a rough target is 70% development/execution and 30% design/strategy. Expect a mix of developing emails (and email programs), landing pages and websites designed by others, based on existing templates, and your own design concepts that build upon the firm’s brand attributes/guidelines.

  • Plan, coordinate, design and execute digital campaigns including but not limited to web, email and social media.
  • Identify best practices and areas of improvement for both website and email marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze statistics from all phases of marketing campaigns to determine a plan to improve results.
  • Carry out A/B testing on landing pages and emails to maximize results.
  • Troubleshoot errors with forms, landing pages and email campaigns.
  • Regularly examine website statistics to identify areas for improvement in both website performance and search engine ranking.
  • Supports other departmental and firmwide initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A degree in either development or design, with 3-5 years of professional experience doing both.
  • Strong web development and design portfolio demonstrating a working knowledge of efficient coding practices, user experience, attention to design detail and best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, accessibility guidelines, and SEO practices.
  • Knowledge of graphics software such as Photoshop, Sketch, etc.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation (Pardot).
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Kentico and SharePoint).
  • Experience with website integration platforms is preferred (i.e. Formstack)
  • An optimistic, can-do attitude; effective listening skills; assertiveness and objectivity.
  • Collaborative and team oriented.
  • Ability to work quickly when needed, be flexible and open-minded to changes.
  • Ability to strike a balance between perfectionism/your vision and value for the firm.
